Dossier Center finds Vladimir Putin's ninth yacht — the $50.1 million Victoria

The Dossier Center has uncovered another yacht owned by Russian President Vladimir Putin, a 71-meter vessel named Victoria valued at $50.1 million. The yacht has been docked at a shipyard in Istanbul since late October. This marks the ninth yacht associated with Putin that has been brought to light, according to the investigation.

The report revealed that Victoria was initially laid down at the Sevmash defense plant in 2005 and was completed in 2019. According to the Dossier Center's source, the yacht is officially registered to companies associated with oligarch Gennady Timchenko, a close personal friend of Vladimir Putin.

According to the investigation, delays in Victoria’s construction created a number of problems for Timchenko. Due to difficulties with Victoria, Timchenko commissioned the construction of the 140-meter-long Scheherazade for Putin. Sevmash has built a total of two yachts, including the superyacht Graceful, which is also owned by Putin.

The Dossier investigation into the crew of the yacht Victoria revealed that sailor Alexei Makarov had previously worked on another boat owned by Putin, Shellest, while stewardess Inna Yermak is the sister of Alexander Yermak. Alexander Yermak, a graduate of the FSO Academy [a higher educational institution run by the Federal Protective Service (FSO) — a government agency tasked with protecting high-ranking government officials — translator's note], is a crew member on both the Scheherazade and Graceful, both vessels associated with Putin. Formerly captaining Victoria, Alexei Alexeev now commands Dmitry Medvedev's yacht Universe. Victoria is owned by Paer and managed by Fazar-Invest — both entities within Gennady Timchenko's group of companies.

Victoria is usually moored in Sochi and occasionally visits Cape Idokopas, where Putin's palace is situated. Similar to Putin's other yachts, Victoria boasts luxurious items such as beach towels priced at 216 thousand roubles (approximately $2,400), a chess set valued at 146 thousand roubles (approximately $1,600), and a backgammon set for 321 thousand roubles ($3,600). The yacht is also equipped with a television featuring a children's channel package.
